Through various acquisitions over the years, ownership resulted in both Astral Media and Corus Entertainment owning a 50% stake in the service from 2006-13, they each owned 40% until then with Cookie Jar owning 20%. Corus Entertainment acquired WIC and Nelvana in 2000 and inherited the latter's stake.
